Iron Man teased the idea of a larger movie universe with Agent Coulson mentioning S.H.I.E.L.D. Then the end credits drove it home with Director Nick Fury schooling Tony Stark on not being the only one doing heroics. I flipped out. It was the first time a comic book movie went there; that there’s more out there and that we will see more heroes in the same movie universe.
Here we are years and many superhero films later. We’re reaching the crescendo. It’s the endgame. After years of glimpses, the Avengers are finally facing off against Thanos. One of the ultimate villains in Marvel. Comic fans know exactly who he is, but for those who do not: it might be best to wait and see in The Avengers: Infinity War.
The trailer has me stoked and maybe — just maybe — a little impatient.
The Avengers: Infinity War absolutely dominates theaters May 4, 2018.
The movie was worth waiting for…though now I have to wait for the continuation.
