J.J. Abrams loves his secrets. Hot off of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the trailer to the sequel of Cloverfield dropped, entitled 10 Cloverfield Lane. One of the interesting things? There’s no signs of the monster — or monsters for the matter. Not literally anyway.
The spiritual sequel was developed from an existing script. The focus on 10 Cloverfield Lane is on the characters and their situation locked up in a bunker from an unknown threat that’s topside.
Personally, I’d love the idea of an anthology of horror stories taking place in the same universe as Cloverfield that are loosely connected.
Any connection or not, I’m already sold on the film with John Goodman and Mary Elizabeth Winstead in it. They’re both a joy to watch on screen.

Why yes, I will be there.
