If I had any reservations about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, they’re mostly gone now. The recently released trailer won me over. The imagery is outstanding, and Ben Affleck looks intimidating as Batman. It doesn’t hurt that the costume is gray. Finally.

The trailer paints Batman as the antagonist in the film and really, it’s perfect. Bruce Wayne was always insane despite his heroics. An older, established Batman would be pissed off at a super powered man suddenly on the scene. Paranoia has to be in play.

I’m talking about Batman a lot more than Superman. I guess that shows that he’s one of my favorite superheroes. I’m not sorry.

The Superman scenes are visually striking. Lifting a vehicle overhead, floating in the sky with the sun behind him, and the military looking guys kneeling before him. General Zod would be jealous.

I’m excited. Very excited. I still hate the name though.
