Last year at Comic-Con we were given a tease for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, with a video of an Iron Man helmet being hammered into the face of the villainous android, Ultron. It was easy to make the leap that Tony Stark has a hand in his creation. Then there’s the most recent casting to support that theory: Paul Bettany, who voices J.A.R.V.I.S., will portray the Vision.
Who is the Vision? Like Ultron, he is an android. In the comics he was created by Ultron to kill the Avengers, but he ultimately turned on his master and joined the team.
Speculation? Why not! Ultron kidnaps Stark’s beloved — no, I don’t mean Pepper or Rhodey — and twists the programming of J.A.R.V.I.S. into the Vision. Then the power of love helps the Vision overcome his demons (Ultron programming) to reconnect with Stark and become a real boy.
If that’s not how it goes down, I will be severely disappointed.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron casts a shadow over theaters May 1, 2015.
Are you disappointed yet?
Haha, I should have expected that!
I’m only first degree burned disappointed.
