We’re far from the filming of Joss Whedon’s already anticipated The Avengers: Age of Ultron, but that won’t stop casting of new faces — and of course, new heroes to join the team of bromance and adventure.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who starred as Dave Lizewski in the Kick-Ass movies, is cast as Pietro Maximoff, affectionately named Quicksilver, due to his awesome silver hair and speed. He’s also one of Magneto’s children.
Wait . . . one of Magneto’s children? Shouldn’t that make him a Fox movie property since Magneto is? No! By which I mean sort of? Both Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch are unique properties that both Fox and Marvel Studios can use. And thus, that is exactly what’s happening.
I’m stoked on Taylor-Johnson’s casting. He’s a captivating actor, as proven in the unique film, Chatroom. He’ll be able to hold his own with the likes of — well, everyone else in the movie. It’s gonna be charisma galore.
The Avengers: Age of Ultron overtakes theaters May 1, 2015.
