We’re getting closer to the release of Man of Steel, Zack Snyder’s reboot of arguably the greatest superhero conceived: Superman — if we ignore Iron Man and Batman.

Okay, okay, joking aside, the more footage released garners more excitement for the movie. The newest trailer touches on General Zod’s motivation for coming to earth, and setting up the conflict between himself and Superman.

For anyone who said Superman didn’t punch enough things in the unmemorable Superman Returns, this remake will more than keep them pleased. And by “them” I mean all of us.

Man of Steel returns to theaters June 14.
