Coulson Lives in ABC’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

We all collectively held our breathes when Joss Whedon’s television pilot Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was put to the test by ABC. And by that I mean, it came as no surprise that just an hour ago, ABC made it official that the show is a go.

The series will follow a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents as they go from mission to mission. The best part? Agent Phil Coulson lives! ABC’s Facebook page for the show released the awesome promo picture above.

Part of the excitement is that for once, Whedon has a show that isn’t on Fox. That network just loved abusing the man. ABC on the other hand, is owned by Disney, that just so happens to own Marvel. Long story short, The Avengers made Whedon their golden boy. The potential for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is massive.

I guess this means we have a new television series to look forward to this fall. I can’t wait.
