I’m a little weary of Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past since it’s dangerously close to one of the third movie’s faults: too huge of a cast, which riddled the film with cameo after cameo. Nonetheless, my curiosity is still piqued.
Singer tweeted a photo of James McAvoy as Professor Xavier, still sporting a full head of hair, and completely in the 1970s look. It’s perfect. Xavier in his younger years is all about being groovy — at least in First Class.
As long as Days of Future Past follows in the footsteps of First Class, it has a chance of not being a boring cameo movie. Plus it wouldn’t hurt if the default mutant power isn’t jump-really-high.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is slated for release July 17, 2014.
