Fox’s Marvel consultant Mark Millar revealed some information on Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. In the last X-Men film — no, I don’t mean the surprisingly good First Class — we were teased with sentinels, which were prominent in the comics and the cartoons. In the new movie, we will finally see proper sentinels, and many. Which shouldn’t come as too much a surprise since they’re used heavily in the comic book story arc.
And speaking of characters used in Days of Future Past, there’s also the fact that Kitty Pryde is in the forefront in the comic’s storyline. Millar didn’t outright say it, but simply said, “Kitty Pryde fans will not be disappointed”. Signs point to a bigger role for Ellen Page, especially considering she’s become a well-known actress after Inception.
X-Men: Days of Future Past releases July 18, 2014. It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out with a mix of originals and cast of First Class.
