Iron Man 3 Poster for The Mandarin

Of course you can’t release a bunch of posters from Iron Man 3 without the main antagonist getting his own. The latest one has Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin, sitting relaxed but with a commanding presence.

There’s a clear mixture of cultures in the Mandarin’s clothes and the objects around him. Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige said the Mandarin would take culture symbols and pervert them toward his own end, and it shows. There’s also Iron Man’s helmet under the Mandarin’s boot. Symbolically powerful, isn’t it?

Iron Man 3 makes its way to theaters May 3. I really cannot wait.
