Empire released a dashing photo of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Seriously. Just look at that man. Dashing. There’s also the claws, which look good this time around, unlike in X-Men Origins: Wolverine — which we won’t speak of anymore.
Hugh Jackman had some very choice words that restored faith in Fox’s second attempt at a Wolverine spinoff movie.
“I still don’t think we’ve seen the definitive Wolverine. And the longer I play the character, the more the desire to get him right grows. The more I speak to fans and explore his world, the more it means to me. I understand the character and the legacy and I don’t feel, up to this movie, that we’ve completely lived up to that. So that’s what I intend to do.”
Jackman clearly wants to make the fans happy with his portrayal of Logan, and evidently strives to improve himself. As for Fox, they obviously want to redeem themselves after the outrage towards — oh yeah, I said we won’t speak of that anymore. From what we’ve heard so far, it sounds like Fox is approaching the character with a lot more respect.
The Wolverine returns to theaters July 26.
