Not long ago there was a rumor circulating that Hugh Jackman would play Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. It didn’t take very long to become fact. Today, Jackman took to Twitter to reveal that he’s doing more than just a quick cameo like he had in First Class.
Great 2 be back where it all began w/ @bryansinger & #xmen days of future past! And 2 work w/ the new cast for more than 4 hrs this time!

It makes perfect sense, since in the graphic novel Wolverine played a vital role in the story arc. And Logan played a vital role in the movies as well, so it’s only natural that he’d make an appearance again.
Bryan Singer returning to the director’s chair really did herald in some old faces for the cast. The film is turning out to be a perfect blend of the trilogy and the First Class movie. Now I’m very interested to see how it will all come together on screen.
Oh, and I can’t help but mention how awesome it is that Hugh Jackman clearly enjoys playing Wolverine. He’s currently filming The Wolverine and he’s already jumping into the latest X-Men movie.
X-Men: Days of Future Past hits theaters July 18, 2014.
