Sam Raimi’s cult classic Evil Dead received the remake treatment, and the red band trailer is out. Now before you groan, check out the trailer; keep in mind that Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell produced it. This time Uruguayan filmmaker Fede Alvarez took up the directing duties.

The remake relies more on practical effects than CG, which is a good call, especially when it has to do with Evil Dead. Plus having the original director and star giving their approval and producing is a good sign.

My worries for the remake was put to rest once I watched the trailer. So of course I advise you to check it out too.
