The award-winning show Breaking Bad is on its last season, and it’s helping open up doors for the brilliant actor Aaron Paul, who has held his own against Bryan Cranston. After all, his Jesse Pinkman is just as compelling as Cranston’s Walter White.
Paul will act in director Paschal Chaumeil’s movie, A Long Way Down. The premise is taken from the novel of the same name, written by Nick Hornby. It centers on four people meeting on a tall building on New Years Eve by chance. Instead of celebrating, they’re there with the same goal in mind: to commit suicide.
Aaron Paul will portray a pizza delivery driver who hits rock bottom when he doesn’t fulfill his rock star dreams and his girlfriend leaves him.
I’d like to think he’ll channel Jesse Pinkman for the role — since Pinkman has repeatedly hit rock bottom and desperation quite often. Paul has a lot of talent in showing the internal struggles of his character, and A Long Way Down plays to this strength.
Pierce Brosnan, Toni Collette, and Imogen Poots join him to complete the cast.
I’m sure he will be excellent in that role. Hopefully we’ll see him in a drastically different role sometime soon.
Agreed! Aaron Paul is a strong character actor, and I’d like to see him grow as an actor in more projects!
