The trailer for the remake of Judge Dredd has made its way online. This time out, the movie is simply entitled Dredd. It stars Karl Urban as Judge Dredd, Olivia Thirlby as Cassandra Anderson, and Lena Headey as the villainous Ma-Ma.

A remix of In for the Kill by La Roux is a welcomed surprise; it oddly fits the feel of the trailer.

The movie definitely looks like it’s following the source material — unlike the first one from the 90s that I’m sure many of us remember fondly. And by “fondly” I mean watched for a laugh. The remake looks like a fun action movie while being subtle with the tongue-in-cheek humor. Just look at Judge Dredd’s gun during a closeup and you’ll see what I mean.

Dredd hits theaters September 21.
