Ricky Gervais came up with a most excellent idea: hosting a three-hour long podcast commentating on the Golden Globes while it airs.
“A live 3 hour podcast during The Golden Globes. Me and a few chums (like Louis CK, Chris Rock, Karl Pilkington, John Stewart, Larry David popping in and out) doing our own alternative commentary.”
–Ricky Gervais
How is this not a good idea? Gervais made the Golden Globes watchable last year with his roast-like hosting. In fact, he was the only reason why I tuned in for the Golden Globes; the man is hilarious.
So the thought of Gervais commentating with friends on the Golden Globes without anyone or anything to censor them is simply glorious.
So obviously this means everyone — and I mean everyone — should tune in and turn down the volume on the Golden Globes and the volume up on Ricky Gervais’ live podcast.
You know you want to.
