From screenwriters Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant comes original action comedy The Machine starring Vin Diesel. MGM jump started the film with Diesel’s One Race Productions producing.

Diesel will portray a humanoid machine assembled by the Pentagon as a weapon, but after twenty years the project is scrapped. The Machine then befriends kids, which the government discovers, and leads to him protecting the family.

The premise reminds me of both Terminator 2 and Universal Soldier. And with Vin Diesel’s voice acting experience on The Iron Giant, he seems like a perfect fit for the role. The Machine should be a lot of fun.
