The Office season finale on May 19th continues to have surprises up its sleeve for Steve Carell’s departure. Joining creator Ricky Gervais, Will Arnett, Ray Romano, Catherine Tate and James Spader is Jim Carrey. The group will all compete for Michael Scott’s position as regional manager.

Carrey is a huge and welcomed surprise for The Office. He could definitely bring awkward humor to the table for the show.

I want Will Arnett to replace Steve Carell, but with Jim Carrey in the fray, I’m stuck between the two actors. They are both capable of filling in the void Carell will leave. It’s just a matter of if they’ll fit in with the actors and crew.

Nonetheless, NBC is doing a great job in making Carell’s replacement a surprise with all the actors they’re bringing in for the finale.
