A trailer came out for Jodie Foster’s film The Beaver starring Mel Gibson, who plays a man named Walter Black. A corporate leader and family man, Walter becomes depressed and detached from his life and family. He finds a beaver puppet, which he uses to deal with problems he couldn’t deal with otherwise.

The movie is quirky and appears as a black comedy. Walter is emotionally damaged and Mel Gibson portrays it perfectly. And who isn’t surprised by that? He’s had crazy antics that he could easily channel for Walter, but he’s a talented actor, all jabs aside.
