After what seemed like endless sequels to The Crow, it apparently came to an end. By which I mean they set a remake in motion. A rotating cast of actors were in the running at different times, but it looks like they’re finally settling on one.
Tom Hiddleston, who portrays our favorite god of mischief, Loki, is in talks to play Eric Draven. He went as far as having dinner with the producers of the remake and gave them his own makeup test. It was liked enough that Hiddleston will undergo a proper makeup test.
In the original, the late Brandon Lee portrayed The Crow with a mischievous flair. Hiddleston has the ability to display that, as evident in his portrayal of Loki. He’s a perfect fit as the brooding-yet-playful Eric Draven. And really, who wouldn’t want to see Loki playing guitar?
The remake for The Crow is based on James O’Barr’s comic book series, with F. Javier Gutierrez directing, and screenplay by Cliff Dorfman.
